100% Blaufränkisch

This refreshing rosé is made from 100% Blaufränkisch, a grape that has made its way to Michigan from Germany and Austria. The grapes were hand-harvested on September 11th. 85% of the grape clusters were gently pressed in a basket press to preserve acidity, while 15% of the grapes were crushed and destemmed before pressing to add more color and body. The resulting wine has refreshing acidity balanced with flavors of ripe strawberry, watermelon, and a lightly spicy finish.
