Vignoles is an old French American Hybrid grape that is susceptible to noble rot under the right conditions. This vintage was perfect for the development of this special fungus that penetrates the skin of the grapes and encourages the grapes to dehydrate and concentrate the sugars and acids in the juice, resulting in a wonderful and unique wine. The aromas and flavors of dried apricots, honey, and dried yellow straw are pronounced and stand up to strong foods such as liver pate, grilled sausage, onions, and sauerkraut.
